On the eve of the Geneva Motor Show, the manufacturer presented the new Ferrari F8 Tributo 2020. The characteristics, parameters and equipment of the sports car are named.

The 2019 Geneva Motor Show promises to showcase a variety of production vehicles, both electric and combustion engines. It's no secret that many manufacturers on the eve of the opening of the auto show open information about their new products. Ferrari was no exception to the rule with the new F8 Tributo. In all likelihood, it will replace the 488 GT. Experts already say that it will be the fastest sports car of the brand, equipped with a V8 gasoline engine. According to company representatives, the novelty can overcome the first hundred on the speedometer in 2.9 seconds, but the maximum speed will be 340 km / h.

The volume of such a unit is 3.9 liters, paired with turbochargers. According to various indicators, this engine was recognized as the best in the company during 2016-2018, while in 2018 it received the status of the best engine over the past two decades. Initially, the unit was developed for a special configuration of the Ferrari 488 Pista, but due to considerations of super high speed at that time, they decided to postpone it for later. The total power of the Ferrari F8 unit is 720 horses, and the maximum torque is 770 Nm. It was this figure that overtook the 488 GT by 50 horsepower and 10 Nm of torque. As already mentioned, the first hundred on the Ferrari F8 speedometer can overcome in 2.9 seconds, the second hundred in 7.8 seconds.

If we talk about the appearance of the new Ferrari F8, then it has become unique and more modern in comparison with the previous brothers. Due to the many holes and guides, the engineers managed to increase the aerodynamic coefficient by 10%, respectively, the downforce increased by 15%. As before, the Ferrari engine is located in the back, but the hood has got an unusual air intake directed in the opposite direction.

The interior of the new Ferrari F8 Tributo looks no less impressive: a fully digital instrument panel, a 7 ″ multimedia touchscreen display (located on the instrument panel), a Formula 1 sports steering wheel with control buttons for various functions. Three round air ducts, reminiscent of aircraft instruments, look pretty good.

In addition to the entire interior of the new Ferrari, the designers replaced the usual transmission lever with control buttons, although they were still located on the central tunnel. It remains to wait for the official display of the new Ferrari F8 at the Geneva Motor Show in order to fully understand the possibilities and reveal all the characteristics and equipment.
